Problem, approach, and the outcome
The client is UPTECH, the UK-Pakistan Tech Forum: a bilateral platform headquartered in London that makes hiring, sourcing, market entry, and investment between UK and Pakistani technology companies workable in practice, acting as an introducer, intermediary, or contracting party depending on the engagement.
Its membership spans IT companies and SaaS houses, investors and VCs, universities and research bodies, and individual tech professionals on both sides of the corridor, so the site had to speak convincingly to a Pakistani software house eyeing UK market entry and a UK investor scouting Pakistani deal flow on the same page.
A bilateral membership forum runs on published governance, not marketing copy: membership terms, an arbitration framework under the UK Arbitration Act 1996, and a code of conduct all needed to read as binding documents sitting confidently alongside the rest of the site, not brochure filler.
The forum's offer splits cleanly in two directions, market entry and hiring support for Pakistani companies reaching into the UK and Europe, and research partnerships plus verified sourcing for UK companies reaching into Pakistan, and a single generic services page would have flattened the distinction the membership model depends on.
UPTECH also publishes corridor-specific market intelligence (trade growth, skills-shortage rates, export data) sourced from bodies like the State Bank of Pakistan and the UK Department for Business and Trade, so those figures had to present with the same authority as the governance documents next to them.
We built the site in Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS, structuring membership documents, corridor statistics, and services as typed content rather than hardcoded page markup, so a new document or an updated trade figure is a data change, not a template rewrite.
Services for Pakistani companies and services for UK companies were built as genuinely separate tracks with their own cards and copy, rather than one shared list filtered by audience, so each side of the corridor reads its own offer without wading through the other's.
The governance layer (membership terms and conditions, the arbitration framework policy, and the code of conduct) was surfaced as a dedicated document library with clear download and view-online actions, giving the forum's legal standing the same visual weight as its services.
- A dedicated governance document library (membership terms, arbitration framework, code of conduct) with download and view-online actions
- Separate, purpose-built service tracks for Pakistani companies and UK companies rather than one filtered list
- A corridor market-intelligence section presenting trade, skills, and export data from named UK and Pakistani sources
- Membership categorised into IT companies, investors & VCs, academic & research bodies, and individual professionals, each with its own entry point
